Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team has reportedly hired Ohio State assistant Alan Major to be their next head coach. According to the Charlotte Observer, the 41-year-old accepted the offer on Friday. Major recently completed his sixth season as an assistant under Thad Matta with the Buckeyes, and he previously coached with Matta for three seasons at Xavier.
