02/24/2007 - Munich, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Bayern Munich got a much-needed win on Saturday against Wolfsburg at Allianz Arena as the home side built a two-goal lead and held on for a 2-1 win to move to within five points of second-placed Stuttgart.
Lukas Podolski converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute and Mark van Bommel doubled the lead 10 minutes after the restart. Cedric Makiadi pulled a goal back for the visitors 11 minutes from time, but Bayern were not to be denied three points on this day and keeper Oliver Kahn made sure the lead held up.
Kahn did well early on to keep Wolfsburg off the scoreboard, making a nice save on a Marcelinho free-kick and an even better stop on Alexander Madlung's effort from a corner kick.
Despite the positive start, the visitors found themselves trailing after 26 minutes as Madlung handed Bayern a penalty kick for pushing Claudio Pizarro inside the box. Podolski then stepped to the spot and sent keeper Simon Jentzsch the wrong way to put the hosts up 1-0.
Wolfsburg continued to pressure Kahn and nearly evened things before the break. Mike Hanke's shot beat Kahn but struck the inside of the post and was cleared away by defender Andreas Gorlitz.
After a strong 45 minutes, Wolfsburg had to feel unlucky to be down a goal, but soon went two down after the restart. Bastian Schweinsteiger slid a pass to Van Bommel at the top of box and the Dutchman drove his shot past a diving Jentzsch and inside the left post to double the lead.
Wolfsburg did not go away, however, and cut its deficit in half with 11 minutes to go. Substitute Isaac Boakye worked his way inside the box and fired a shot towards goal. Defender Philipp Lahm blocked the shot but the ball fell for Makiadi, who beat Kahn from close range to make it 2-1.
That was as close as the visitors would get on this day though, and Bayern held on to record its second league win in its last six tries.
In other Bundesliga play on Saturday, Energie scored two second-half goals to defeat Arminia Bielefeld 2-1, Hamburg recorded a big 3-1 win at AOL Arena against Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover got a pair of goals from Arnold Bruggink to beat Dortmund 4-2. Mainz continued its winning ways as Mohamed Zidan scored twice in a surprise 2-1 win against Nurnberg and Matthias Lehmann scored in the second half to equalize for Aachen in a 2-2 affair with Bochum.
Sunday's action features league-leaders Schalke hosting Bayer Leverkusen and a struggling Werder Bremen side looking to get back on track at Monchengladbach.

MySportsbook.com favors Bears, Bengals, Chargers and Colts to remain perfect
LAS VEGAS , Sept. 28 - Two big match-ups of undefeated teams have fans salivating at the Week Four schedule in the NFL. The Chicago Bears stifling defense looks to provide a less than hospitable welcome to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in a battle of two 3-0 teams in the NFC conference. In the AFC, the San Diego Chargers (2-0) head to Maryland to face the surprising Baltimore Ravens (3-0) as both try to keep pace atop the conference standings. Betting Lines makers at MySportsbook.com, online sportsbook and casino, have set the Bears as 3.5 point favorites while the Chargers are a 2.5 point bet.
Of the three remaining undefeated teams, only one, New Orleans, enters this week's game as an underdog. Despite an emotional and resounding win over Atlanta on Monday night, the Saints are a 7.5 point underdog against the struggling Carolina Panthers. Indianapolis looks to stay perfect when they face the New York Jets as a 9 point road favorite while the Cincinnati Bengals are a 6 point favorite at home to the New England Patriots.
Six teams enter the week still looking for their first win, with a seventh, Tampa Bay, on a bye week. The prospect of dropping another game would not bode well for a potential playoff run. Since 1990, just three teams -- the 1992 Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions and 1998 Buffalo Bills -- have overcome losing their first three games of the season to earn a postseason berth. And only the Chargers managed to accomplish the feat after starting 0-4.

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
As of February 9, MySportsbook.com has released its coveted 2007 Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament betting odds. “March Madness betting ” only a month away, the top ranked Florida Gators are favorite at 7-2 to win it all. The defending champs have not disappointed at all this season and currently have a 22-2 record and are undefeated (9-0) in SEC play. The Gators’ thrive off of their extremely balanced, experienced and versatile attack. All five starters started in last seasons National Championship game. What is most impressive with this group is their balance; the five starters all average between 10.7 and 13.6 PPG. The Gators have been on an absolute roll having won 15 straight by an average of 16.4 PPG.
Right behind the Gators are the 5th ranked UNC Tar Heels at 9-2. The Heels (21-3, 7-2) are absolutely loaded with top notch talent and are as deep as any team in the country. A concern for the Tar Heels might be inexperience. Of their top four scorers/ minute earners, three are freshmen and the other is a sophomore. The rest of the regular season, the Tar Heels play only one team that is currently ranked (Duke). Their remaining opponents do combine for an impressive 107-58 record though.
Other teams that the MySportsbook.com members seem to believe will win it all include the west coasts’ top team #2 UCLA (6-1), #3 OSU behind man-child Greg Oden (8-1), and #4 Wisconsin (10-1) behind their defense which has given up 70+ points only three times all season.
Below is a list of some of the favorites to win the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship lines. For the full list of teams and March Madness odds be sure to log onto MySportsbook.com.
